the restrictions on Chinese re-emigration to British Possessions and

praying

that their joint petition may be submitted to the Secretary of

Sheweth that petitioners are merchants who have lived long under

British protection and are thankful for the fostering care which has been bestowed on them. That for many years they have carried on business in Hongkong, Australia, and California without any distinction being made.
